Clear aligners use a series of nearly invisible, custom-made trays to gradually move teeth into place—ideal for crowding, spacing, and relapse after braces. After digital scans and photos, we map your tooth movement, place small tooth-colored “attachments” if needed, and may use slenderizing (IPR) or elastics for precision.
You’ll wear trays 20–22 hours a day, removing them to eat and for hot drinks; most patients change to a new set every 7–14 days, with typical treatment running 6–18 months depending on complexity. Expect mild pressure or a short-lived lisp when switching trays; good daily brushing, flossing, and rinsing after meals prevents staining and cavities.
Complex bites or large rotations sometimes need hybrid care (aligners plus limited braces)—we’ll tell you up front. After finishing, retainers are essential to keep teeth stable; plan on nightly wear long-term.
We’ll review candidacy, timeline, total cost, insurance benefits, and financing before you start.
